Beloved husband of Margaret (Eyskens), loving father of Edward T. and his wife Linda Vallis and Alice Whelan both of Hull and Marion and her husband Rick LaPierre of Watertown. Brother of the late Amelia, Al, Thadeus and John Vallis, Phyllis Gavin, Helen Wallace and Anna Perkins. Devoted grandfather of Jody Bowen, Amy Largy, Margaret McDonald, Mary Dunphy, George, Edward, Gregory and Peter Whelan and Fred, John, Grace, and James Whouley. Also 19 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Monday at 9 AM.
Funeral Mass in St. Ann's Church, Hull at 10:00 AM.
Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM.
Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
Edward also worked for ECA Electronic Corp. of America as a supervisor and for Fore River Shipyard as a welder. He was an avid golfer for 70 years and a 63 year member of Ponkapoag CC. He enjoyed his flower garden, bowling and most of all card playing with family and friends. Ballroom dancing was always a highlight in his and his wife's life. Ed had his own home workshop where he did all sorts of repairs for himself, family and friends. He was very active in St. Ann's Church with parish activities and helping parishioners.
