Worcester: Guillermina M. Lopez, 94, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025 at home. She leaves her children Dagoberto Mendez, Nilsa Mendez, Marianela Figueroa and her husband Hector, Celestino Mendez Jr., Eloisa Aguilar and her husband Marvin, Marisol Gonzalez and her husband Angel. She was predeceased by her son, Juan Mendez. She had 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Guillermina was born in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Juan Lopez and Eloisa Resto. She worked as a chef at West Point Military Academy from where she retired in 1985 and moved to Worcester. She enjoyed going for walks, shopping at Walmart and traveling. She was most happy when her family came over to visit and spending time with them. She left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. Her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us all.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel 300 Lincoln St. Worcester. Burial will be held on Friday May 2, 2025 in Hope Cemetery.
