Obituary

Caroline passed away after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Caroline maintained her loving spirit and sense of humor until the end. She was loved by all who knew her.

Caroline was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was her world and her joy. As the mother of a disabled child she worked tirelessly and endlessly with him and for him and at a time when the disabled were often ignored and shunned, she was a steady and constant advocate for him and others like him.

Caroline worked in banking for many years as a customer service representative and became lifelong friends with many of her regular customers.

Her hobbies included cooking, gardening, painting, antiques and decorating.
She volunteered at the Lowell Food Pantry.

Caroline is predeceased by her husband, Charles Blanchard, her parents, Albert and Elise Ashley, and her brother, Charles Ashley. She is survived by her daughter, April Hamilton (Charles), her son, Charles Blanchard Jr., her grandchildren, Alise Wascom (Kent), Clayton Hamilton (Danielle), and Jordan Hamilton (Denise) and great grandchildren Romy, Naomi, and Nora.

Those she left behind will miss her immeasurably and will be forever grateful for her love in their lives.
