Obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we share the peaceful passing of Judith Ashman of Flower Mound, Tx, formerly of South Boston, MA. Judy peacefully passed in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family on March 15, 2025

Judy was a proud native of South Boston, Massachusetts, where she owned “Judy’s Variety” for 25 years. She was known by nearly everyone and loved by all. Her warmth, kindness, and larger-than-life heart left a lasting impression on anyone lucky enough to know her. She had countless friends and an unshakable presence in her community. To know her was to know laughter and love. She treasured her many friendships but being a grandmother was the role she cherished most in life—there was nothing she loved more. She will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved. May she rest in peace in her heavenly home wrapped in the arms of Jesus.

Beloved companion of the late John Gilcoine. Dear daughter of the late James and Veronica (Kislowski) Harvey. Loving mother of Bobby and wife Candice Talbot of Flower Mound, TX formerly of East Boston and Nichole Talbot of Dorchester, Formerly of South Boston. Devoted sister to Pauline and Bob Boulay, James and Maureen Harvey and Patricia and Edward Cardinal. Proud and blessed Grandmother “Nana” to Robi, Angelina, Roma, Rocco, Amanda and husband Jeroeb, Andrew and Sara and was looking forward to being future great grandmother to Eliana Rose.

Her love extended to her many nieces and nephews, including Paula, Jill, Jimmy, Michelle, Paul, Stephen, Sharon, Jay, Susan, Eddie, and David. She loved their children just as deeply, as if they were her own grandchildren

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held at a later date to allow family and friends from near and far to gather. Services are expected to take place in late June and will be updated and shared as soon as possible.
