DUDLEY – Stella C. (Leo) Lukaszek, 99, died peacefully at home with her son at her side on Easter Sunday, April 20,2025. Her husband of 56 years, Frank J. Lukaszek died in 2000.
She leaves her son, Francis J. “Frank” Lukaszek with whom she lived; 2 special nieces, Patricia “Patsy” Beck of Daytona, FL and Kathy Flynn and her husband Kevin of Leicester; many nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Harry Leo, Ralph Leo, Jr., Raymond Leo, William Leo and Fred Leo and by her sister Virginia Lebeau.
She was born on July 8, 1925 in Webster a daughter of Ralph Leo, Sr. and Stella (Murolo) Leo. She graduated from Evening High School in Worcester in 1972 and at age 68 went to Becker Junior College in Worcester to become a Certified Nurses Assistant in long term care.
Mrs. Lukaszek began working at the age of 14, she worked various jobs to help with the family income. After marriage she became a chef at many restaurants including Howard Johnson’s in Auburn, Hubbard Regional Hospital kitchen, The Yankee Drummer in Auburn and finally for the last five years as the chef and kitchen manager at the David Hale Fanning Trade School in Worcester. She retired in 1995 to become a CNA specifically to care for her husband.
She was a member of Saint Andrew Bobola Church. A giving and nurturing woman she enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking for her family. She was an accomplished homemaker.
The family would like to thank Stella’s angels, Hope Buchanan, Marie Thibert, Natalie Renaud, Christine Lorkiewicz, and Karen Quaiel for their care and compassion during her illness.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 25, from the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street, Dudley. Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 AM Friday, April 25 in the funeral home.
