Betty Ruth Grimes Braswell, 72, of Brunswick passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025, at Southeast Georgia Medical Center in Brunswick. A memorial service will be held for Mrs. Braswell at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Camp Osborn Boy Scout Camp in Sylvester. A private burial will be held for Mrs. Braswell at a later date.
Born August 10, 1952, in Tift County, Mrs. Braswell was the daughter of the late William Morris Grimes and Dora Marie Hightower Crews; one brother, William Elton Grimes; and one sister, Patricia Lee Stephens. Before retiring, she was an insurance and billing clerk at Carlisle Chiropractic in Brunswick.
Mrs. Braswell is survived by her husband of 55 years, Edwin Ray Braswell, Jr. of Brunswick; three daughters and one son-in-law, Melissa and Eric Ginter of Sylvester, Stephanie Braswell of Leesburg and Kimberly Braswell of Fitzgerald; one sister, Diane Hickox of Waycross; a brother-in-law, Smitty Stephens of Tallahassee, Florida; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Michael Braswell (Caley), Dakota Kirkland, Cheyenne and Kenneth Mohl, Erica and Chris Oliver, Colin Brown (Annalise), Noah Brown, Miranda Ginter, Laney Ginter and Destiny Braswell; four great-grandchildren, Gabriella Marie, Skylar Leeanne, Amelia Rose and Colton Ray; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
