Maria Basilisa Martinez-Rosario (76) of Brockton passed away under hospice care on April 17th at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Gerardo Rosario of Brockton.
She was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Claudio Martinez and Bartalo Rivera. Maria worked for the Mupac Technology Company for over 25 years as a civil engineer assembler. She loved the Red Sox, cooking, shopping, and traveling back to Puerto Rico. Maria also was known to be kind, and generous and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was beloved by many and will be truly missed.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Kenneth Rosario of Taunton, 2 daughters, Araceli Rosario of Stoughton and Jocelyn Rosario of Taunton, 2 sisters, Margarita Rosario of Brockton and Marcela Rosario of Puerto Rico, 4 grandchildren, Julius, Tvaris, Tejan and Ahdanayah, 3 great-grandchildren, Javien, Nayara, and Adrian, her step-children, Javier, Jerry, Janet, Lillian and Brenda Rosario and Joanne Colon, also her caregiver Angie Rosario.
Viewing in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton, Thursday, April 24th at 10 am. Followed by Funeral Services at 11 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton.
All are welcomed to the Repass following the Burial Services at 60 Montrose Street Brockton from 2-4 pm.
