Charles J. Arena, age 63, of Medford, died peacefully, Monday, April 14, 2025, at AccentCare Inpatient Hospice Care Milton.
Charles was born in Medford, MA to the late Charles J. and Grace (Freni) Arena. Raised and educated in Medford, he was a graduate of Medford High School, Class of 1979. He then graduated from Northeastern University’s College of Business Administration in 1984 where he received his B.S in Business Administration.
Charles was a dedicated employee for 20 plus years at the Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation, as an office assistant. He loved his work assisting with the classes and helping with the students. Charles loved his co-workers and considered them his second family. He lived by the motto of “no task is too small or too big.” Out of work, Charles enjoyed all that Boston sports had to offer, never missing a Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics, or Patriots game. Charles particularly enjoyed the analysis as well as the associated radio talk shows following each game.
Charles was the dear brother of the late Daniel Arena and is survived by Angela Cristiani. Charles is also survived by many loving cousins and dear friends.
A visiting hour will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, MA, on Monday, April 28, from 9:30-10:30 AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, MA, at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are invited.
