Kevin R. Vlaco 70 of Middleboro, Mass formerly of Connecticut, died peacefully on April 12, 2025. He was the husband of 45 years to Carol (Soper) Vlaco. Kevin was born in Bombay India, son of the late Raymond and Catherine (Brophy) Vlaco. Kevin was raised in India and then settled in the United States in his freshmen year of high school. Kevin traveled the world extensively with his parents. He was a successful contractor and founder of KR Vlaco & Sons and Bombay Cartage. His career as a contractor was so eloquently displayed in the beautiful family farm he leaves behind.
Kevin was blessed with two amazing sons Ryan and Duane Vlaco and a granddaughter Burkley Vlaco. His world revolved around his family. He loved camping in the Keys and in Connecticut. Kevin tolerated boating for his wife and enjoyed their house in Florida where boating on the river was just easy. He loved the many dogs that resided at the farm especially the shepherds. Greta and Sonia. His favorite pass time was driving his little black truck. Invariably something would always go wrong with it but he would always have a way to sort it out and continue on.
The family would like to offer their sincere appreciation to their friends and family and caregivers for the outpouring of love and support through these difficult times. Kevin’s ALS diagnosis two years ago didn’t defeat him. The family rallied and found new ways to keep the challenges at bay. With the help of all those wonderful folks that pitched in and made so much possible, Kevin’s spirits were exceptional. KV’s A team extended from Mass to CT.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral mass on Friday April 25 @10:30 at the Central Congressional Church 2 Webster St. Middleboro, MA A celebration of life will follow at Warren’s Harborview at 59 Main St. Wareham at @ 12:00.
