It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jacquelyn "Jackie" Putnam, who left us on April 15, 2025. Born on December 16, 1930, Jackie was a proud and strong New England woman who loved her home in Sandwich. She retired in 1996 from Cape Heritage Rehabilitation where she thoroughly enjoyed working.
Jackie found joy in walking and gardening. Her favorite recreational activity was taking long walks along the Cape Cod Canal, enjoying the serene, comforting nature of her surroundings.
There were attributes of her personality that those who knew her could never forget. Jackie spent time in Florida, taking in the warmth of the sunshine state.
One of her proudest accomplishments was coming in first place on several occasions at the Gerald F. DeConto's 5K Run-Walk, a testimony to her spirit and tenacity. Her sons, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, and loved ones will mourn the loss of a woman who lived life on her terms with unwavering strength and dignity.
Jackie was predeceased by her son Russell Putnam and her husband Raymond Putnam Jr. She is survived by her sons, Richard Putnam (wife Cindy), Steven Putnam (wife Ingrid) and Raymond Putnam III (wife Jackie) who will honor her memory and continue her legacy.
Jackie's zest for life will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. We are thankful for her life and the wonderful memories we shared. A short service will be held at Otis Airforce Base in Bourne on Monday April 28th at 11:15.
