Lorraine M. Collibee, 79, of Peabody, passed away at the NSMC / Salem Hospital on April, 1, 2025, following a long illness. She was the devoted wife of the late Donald E. Collibee with whom she had shared nearly 50 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Amelia (Lapointe) Moreau. She was an award winning member of the St. Joseph Academy, high school swim team. Lorraine first worked as a waitress for the General Glover House in Marblehead. She left waitressing to begin working for the Shawmut Bank and retired from Eastern Bank as head teller.
Devoted to her family she enjoyed trips to California and New Hampshire to spend time with her sons and their families. She loved animals, especially her cats and was an avid N, E. Patriots fan. Lorraine was a faithful supporter of various charities, including, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Wounded Warrior Program, Disabled American Veterans, MSPCA and the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
She is survived by her sons, Donald H. Collibee of Peabody, Scott E. Collibee and wife Jessica of San Francisco, CA, Her brother George Moreau of Florida, her sisters, Beverly Stewart and husband Arthur of Brewster, Madeline Moreau of Florida, Elizabeth Davis and husband Walter of Rockport, and grandchildren, William T., Christopher D., Courtney L. Isaac and Alana Collibee and great-granddaughter Cairo.
Relatives and friends are invited to her calling hours on Monday, April 28, 2025 from 10:00 to 11:30 A.M. to be followed by her memorial service at 11:30 A.M.
