Peggy Dunlap, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at Lawrence General Hospital on April 8, 2025, at the age of 83. She was born on July 22,1941 in Calhoun City MS to Arvilla Cleveland Boggus and Garlin Boggus. She was a retired Customer Service Manager for Bradford Industries in Lowell MA.
Peggy is survived by her children, Cindy (Lloyd) Butcher of Haverhill MA, Mike (Jennifer) Dunlap of Lee NH, sister Irma (Don) Ward of Big Creek MS, sister-in-law Linda (Calvin) Simpson, brother-in-law Mickey (Pat) Dunlap, many grandchildren and great grandchildren
Preceded in death by her parents; a son Brian Dod Dunlap, sisters Gladys Cantrell, Ruth McNair and Dorris Ann Boggus.
Peggy had a sharp tongue, a quick wit, and a knack for telling it like it is. She didn’t sugarcoat anything which was part of her charm. She was the kind of woman that could make you laugh and keep you on your toes in the same breath.
A longtime resident of Methuen, Massachusetts, Peggy spent her last couple of years living her absolute best life at Methuen Village. She made the most of every moment there which included some mischief and a few shenanigans. She also enjoyed the simple things in life like the Red Sox, Keno, Bingo and fried clams.
In true Peggy fashion the family encourages you to raise a glass, share a Peggy-worthy tale, and remember her with a laugh or a smile.
