Thomas N. Morse, 86, of Palm Coast, Florida, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, April 10, 2025 after a brief illness. Mr. Morse was born in Fall River, MA, son of the late Alton and Mabel Morse and made Westport, MA his home until moving to Florida in 2018.
After high school, Mr. Morse served in the United States Navy before embarking on, and retiring from, a long career as an electronic technician at Raytheon. Mr. Morse was a proud American patriot for his entire life, always flying the Red, White and Blue in his front yard.
Gifted with a beautiful tenor voice, Tom spent many years singing in the choir at the Westport Methodist Church. He loved spending time with his family, enjoying a home cooked meal and playing cards. His knowledge of history and geography was showcased during his nightly viewing of Jeopardy as he answered question after question.
Tom was devoted to his family and could often be heard telling people how proud he was of his children and grandsons who all called him “Pa”.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Patricia Morse, his 3 daughters: Bonny L. Gifford and her husband John of Westport, MA; Colleen J. Cawley and her husband Michael of Fenwick Island, DE; and Kathleen A. Messier and her husband Marc of Palm Coast, FL; a sister: Holly Morse of Fall River; a brother: Alton Morse of Palm Coast, FL; as well as 3 grandsons: Seth, Andrew and Jack, 2 great granddaughters: Eloise and Josephine; and several nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held during the summer in Westport, MA, the place Tom always called home. Date and time to be determined.
