Boylston- Robert “Bob” W. Comeau, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Benchmark Senior Living in Shrewsbury. He is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years Edith M. (Hokanson) Comeau; three daughters- Cheryl Nelson and her husband Karl, Robin McGrath and her husband Joseph, Bonnie Morin and her husband John, a son Robert Comeau and his wife Katherine, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Bob was born in Westerly, Rhode Island, son of the late Alphonse and Mary (Glazer) Comeau. He attended Worcester Junior College and then worked as a sales representative for Berlin Oil Company in Hartford, CT. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard from 1952-1956. Bob was very active in the Masonic Fraternity. He was a Past Master of Matthew John Whittall Lodge in Shrewsbury, served as District Deputy Grand Master of the 22nd Masonic District for Worcester, was a Scottish Rite Mason in the Walley of Worcester, and a member of Aleppo Shriners in Wilmington, MA. He was also a long-time member of Salem Covenant Church in Worcester.
Bob cherished being a husband, father, Granddaddy/Pepére as well as great grandfather to his family. Bob and “Honey” enjoyed travelling throughout the United States and their special trip to Israel.
A memorial calling hour will be held on Monday, April 21, 2025 from 5:00-6:00 PM at Nordgren Funeral Home, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester. A Masonic Service will follow at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial of ashes in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston will be private.
