Obituary

Jimmy Ray Clemons
April 16, 1947 – April 9, 2025

Jimmy Ray Clemons, 77, passed away peacefully on the morning of April 9, 2025, in Pensacola, Florida, just a week shy of his 78th birthday.

Born in Fitzgerald, Georgia, Jimmy was the son of Irwin James and Annie Ruth (Hester) Clemons. In 1967, he proudly entered the United States Air Force, where he served with dedication until his retirement in 1988. He went on to complete his career as an IT Specialist in Civil Engineering at Eglin Air Force Base, continuing his lifelong commitment to service and excellence.

Jimmy was a man of simple joys, deep loyalties, and faith having grown up in the Callie Garbutt Baptist Church. He also loved music, hunting, and fishing, and he was an avid fan of Atlanta Braves baseball and Auburn football. Some of his favorite memories were made cruising the world with his beloved wife, Lisa.

Jimmy was a big dreamer with a sense of humor, a man known for his ever-present jokes and light-hearted spirit. More than anything, Jimmy will be remembered as the truest kind of gentleman—kind, selfless, and the best father a daughter could ask for. He always put others first and found happiness in the little things.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Lisa Clemons; his daughter, Tiffany Clemons; his brother, Ronnie Clemons; and his sister, Lynn McCollum. Also, predeceased by James Irwin Clemons; father, Annie Ruth (Hester) Clemons; mother, William (Bill) Clemons; brother, Barbara Sue Clemons; sister, Dorothy Ann Clemons; sister, and Rodney (Pee Wee) Clemons; cousin.

A graveside memorial service will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia, with Bro. Rick Ellis officiating. Full military honors will be rendered.
