Lawrence “Larry” D. Bartolomei Sr., 73, a lifelong Franklin resident, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 11, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Diane M. (Webber) Bartolomei, with whom he shared 53 wonderful years of marriage.
Born May 17, 1951, in Milford, MA, he is predeceased by his parents George J. Bartolomei and Mabel (Pollard) Bartolomei and his sister Jacqueline Hathaway.
Larry leaves behind his three children; Lawrence “Larry” Bartolomei Jr. (Rebecca), Tiffany Alberstadt (Paul) and Todd Bartolomei (Lisa). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, whom he loved dearly; Lawrence Bartolomei III, Olivia Alberstadt, Austin Bartolomei, Hayley Greene, Zachary Greene and Brody Greene.
Larry was employed at Clark Cutler McDermott for 44 years until his retirement in 2017. He was a beloved Franklin Youth Baseball coach for 20+ years, where he formed many longtime friends. For the last 11 years he served as score keeper in the Island Baseball League. He was an avid sports lover of all Boston, New England and Franklin High School teams.
No wake or funeral, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
