Vaughn M. Flechsig, 90, of Westport, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Helen M. (David) Flechsig and the late Charlotte A. (Wall) Flechsig.
Mr. Flechsig was born in Springfield, MA, son of the late Paul M. and Elsie L. (Morse) Flechsig and had resided in Westport for most of his life. He served his country in the U.S. Army. In his earlier years, he was a call firefighter for the Town of Westport. He was a finish carpenter and very talented at woodworking. An avid Red Sox fan, he loved all things baseball.
Survivors include his son: Martin D. Flechsig and his wife Dawn of FL; his 2 daughters: Diane M. Raulino and her husband Wayne of Westport and Gail Ledoux of Westport; 6 grandchildren: Jason, Kristen, Christopher, Justin, Jacob and Jared; 8 great grandchildren; 3 step-children; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Allen Flechsig.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Wednesday, from 9:30-11 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
