MAHONEY, Susan M., age 75 of Jamaica Plain, passed away peacefully after a period of declining health on April 8, 2025. She leaves her devoted daughter Colleen M. Keller and pup Mello. Sue was a lifelong Boston resident and daughter of the late Daniel J. and Virginia M. Mahoney. She is survived by her siblings Nancy and Ralph Tisei of West Roxbury, Jane and Michael Lynch of South Boston, Stephen and Carole Mahoney of Cornwall, VT, Patrick and Cindy Mahoney of Florence, MA, and her sister-in-law Claudia Mahoney of Osterville, MA. She is predeceased by her brothers Daniel G. Mahoney and Peter F. Mahoney. She was the beloved Aunt Sue to Megan, Sean, Emily, Elizabeth, Maria, Justine, Daniel, Brendan, Erin, Maggie, Delia, Rosie, and the late Neil. Susan attended Holy Name, Blessed Sacrament, and Wentworth Institute of Technology and held various creative positions. She was a JP local who loved her community deeply and had many talents including sewing, gardening, and restoring her Victorian home. Susan was a force of nature and will be missed by so many.
Visiting hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Wednesday, April 23 from 4-7PM. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, April 24 at 8:30AM followed by a Funeral Mass in the Basilica of Our Lady of Perpetual Help “Mission Church” at 10AM. Interment Mt. Benedict Cemetery. Relatives and friends invited. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Susan's memory to Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries.
