Obituary



Dr. Robert Carl Crisafi from Winchester, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on April 8th, 2025, at the age of 93. "Dr Bob" was the beloved husband of Barbara Jean Romano of 71 years, recently deceased in September 2024.

Dr. Bob was born to Joseph and Letty Crisafi on May 13th, 1931, in Revere, Massachusetts. He graduated from Revere High School in 1949 before attending New England College of Pharmacy in Boston Massachusetts. After receiving his degree in Pharmacy, he attended the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida and graduated in 1956 with a PHD in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.

Upon graduating he returned to Massachusetts and was an Associate Professor at the New England College of Pharmacy. He had dreams of starting his own company, so he began his teaching and entrepreneurial ventures. He had several successful accomplishments through his career. His entrepreneurial hunger allowed him to open several more businesses in the following years and he founded Lyne Laboratories, Regional Service Center, Advanced Home Healthcare, and Careway Wellness Center. His passion lied in developing and building businesses. His next passion was Ice Dancing, which kept him physically fit and mentally alert.

Dr. Bob had a very generous spirit and established philanthropies to bring others success. In 2016 he resurrected "The Crisafi Challenge," which is an ongoing scholarship foundation that supports underprivileged students that have a passion to attend the College of Pharmacy at U of F.

Devoted father of Donna Shipley and her husband Craig of Destin, Florida, Lisa Jackson and her husband Michael of Methuen, Massachusetts. Loving Papa of Ashley Ruffier wedded to William, Caitlin Roberts wedded to Jake, and Casey Jackson. Loving great-Papa to Brooke and Carlee Ruffier. Brother of the late John and Gerald Crisafi. Further survived by several nieces and nephews.

Dr. Bob's funeral will be held at the McLaughlin Dello Russo Funeral Home located at 60 Pleasant Street, Woburn, MA on Monday, April 14th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in St. Eulalia Church, 50 Ridge St., Winchester, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Visitation hours at the McLaughlin Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Sunday, April 13th, from 3 to 7 p.m.
