Tasia C. Caron, 87, of Smithfield, RI, passed away on Monday April 7th in Landmark Hospital, Woonsocket.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Christus and Mary (Dimetrouleas) Fotopoulos. She had lived in Smithfield for 65 years previously living in Providence for 22 years. She had been an insurance adjuster for Puritan Life Insurance Company for 25 years before retiring. She had also been the owner and operator of For Crepe Sake restaurant in Smithfield.
She had been a member of the Charles Earle’s Uechi Karate School for 15 years. She was a Middle Eastern Belly Dance Instructor for over 20 years. She was a world traveler and loved to sail on her sailboat.
She leaves her sons, Rodney J. Caron and his wife Phatcharee of North Smithfield and Anthony Caron and his wife Robin of Smithfield. She was the grandmother of Siranee Caron and Janjira Caron both of North Smithfield, Anucha Dipalma of Cranston, Kayla Caron of Smithfield, and Bryanna Caron of Smithfield. She was the grandmother of the late Megan Caron.
Her visitation will be held on Sunday April 13th from 3pm to 6pm in the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Her funeral and burial will be private.
