Maureen F. Mackiewicz, age 78, of Kingston, Ma., formerly of Brockton, passed away at home April 7, 2025 after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy (Bedore) and Michael Mackiewicz of Brockton.
Maureen is survived by her brother Wayne and sister-in-law Linda of Bourne, and her brother Michael of Plymouth. She was predeceased by her brother, Arthur, and sisters-in-law Audrey and Helen. She leaves behind her nephews and their families, Eric Mackiewicz of Arlington, Va., Sean Mackiewicz of Los Angeles, Ca., and Keith Mackiewicz of Bellingham, Wa. She also leaves behind her roommates Christine, Martha, Ann, and Ron, and friends Kathy and Jen.
Maureen received loving care from her caretakers at the REACH Program, including Candi, Angie, Barbara, Shari, Karissa, Gayle, and Erin.
Maureen had many loves, including the Boston Red Sox, puzzles, crosswords, and Elvis. On countless evenings she played Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy in the company of her loving mother. She had a strong will and a great sense of humor.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 10-11am at the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street, Brockton, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11am. Her burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.
