Michael John Finnegan, better known as Mike, passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of April 2, 2025, at home in Ventura, California, surrounded by his beloved wife and family. He was 75 years old.
Mike was born on September 19th, 1949. In his younger years, he served in the Army before working as a skilled tradesman, dedicating himself to construction—building not only structures but also a foundation of faith for his family.
He met the love of his life, Felicia when they were just teenagers, and their devotion to each other endures. Married for more than five decades, they were partners in every sense—leaning on each other through every season of life. Mike was blessed with three daughters, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren all of whom shared a close bond with him.
His family will miss him deeply but takes comfort in knowing he is now in the arms of our Lord God, his greatest love.
Mike was known for his deep love of Jesus, a love he and Felicia spoke about often and lived out daily. He mentored friends and strangers alike with humor and generosity and taught his children and grandchildren about faith, offering wisdom, warmth, and unwavering support.
He was a man of kindness, humor, and quiet strength. Whether sharing a laugh or simply being present, Mike made those around him feel special and loved. His legacy of love, faith, and laughter lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A service to honor Mike’s life will be held at BOYKO & REARDON TELEGRAPH ROAD MORTUARY & CREMATION, 15 Teloma Drive, Ventura on Saturday, April 12th. A viewing will begin at 1 pm, followed by a service at 4 pm.
