Wauneatti “Nita”M. Haynes

Wauneatti “Nita”M. (Hunt) Haynes, 83, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025 at her home in Daleville, with her family by her side.
She was born on October 9, 1941 in Alexandria, IN, the daughter of John L. Hunt Sr. and Dorothy (Comstock) Hunt. She was a 1961 graduate of Anderson High School and attended beauty school. She was a homemaker and worked as a beautician and later was a waitress at Perkins. Nita was an active member of Elm Grove Christian Church, and enjoyed needlework and quilting.
She is survived by her three sons; Guy (Teri) Haynes, Todd Haynes and Joe (Dawn) Haynes; ten grandchildren, Dustin, Amber, Ashley, Rayona, Jackson, Caitlin, Joey, Olivia, Jacob, Brandon; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Gary, and four brothers, John Jr., Joseph, Dale and Mark and a sister, Dorothy “Dot”.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at 6PM at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service. Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Riley Children’s Hospital.
