Mabel 'Tomi' Nicholas (Thomas), a resident of North Andover, passed away at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill on Wednesday morning, April 2, 2025. She was 93 years old.
Born in Marcy, New York, Mabel was the beloved daughter of the late John and Jane (Roscuf) Thomas. She was retired and held many Administrative Assistant roles at companies like Clorox, ComputerVision, Andover Bank, and others.
In her spare time, Mabel enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing golf, playing bridge, entertaining, and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling north to the lakes region and to Florida regularly as well as various vacation spots with friends. She enjoyed cooking and hosting holiday parties to perfection. Her box of recipes will be cherished and copied for generations. Mostly, Mabel was a doting mother and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Mabel is survived by her loving children; Karen Nicholas of Andover, Kathie Stabile of Dunedin, Florida and Guy and his wife Tracy Nicholas of North Andover, sister; Dorothy Reffett of Fayetteville, NC, other deceased sisters/brother - Dick Thomas, Rosie Fischer, Mildred 'Choppy' Krug, grandchildren; Paxton, Katie, Mikaela, Alexa and Joslyn and her husband Derek, great-grandchildren; Sophie, Finn, Marlowe, and Caius and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be celebrated by the Rev. Jon Paul in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Noon. Visitation will be held in the funeral home, prior to the service, from 11AM to Noon. Interment will be privately held.
