Obituary

Erica Denise (Turner) Perry passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on March 24, 2025.
Erica was born in Kingsville, TX to Frances Louise (Fobes) Turner and Elder Dale Turner. She spent her early childhood years in California, Hawaii, Florida, Mississippi, and Japan, ultimately residing in California during her youth.

A graduate of The Principia School in St. Louis, Missouri, Erica studied at Memphis University. She became an experienced medical administrator who genuinely cared for her patients. Eager to learn new skills, she recently began a new career as a Material Coordinator Planner for a defense contractor.

Erica was most passionate about her family. She was a single mother who independently raised three remarkable young men, to whom she was deeply devoted and loved beyond measure: Brandon Turner (Kayla), Austin Perry (Katherine) and Jesse Perry (Alexandria).

Erica made friends wherever she went. She was thoughtful and empathetic, and her warm smile and kind words were uplifting and provided comfort to friends and strangers.
Always at peace surrounded by nature, Erica volunteered faithfully at the Kettle Pond Wildlife Center and was a long time member of the Charlestown RI Historical Society Board of Directors.

In addition to her sons, Erica is survived by her mother, Frances L. Turner; father Elder D. Turner; step mother Victoria Turner; sister Shelli Griffith; nieces Paige and Sara Griffith; Uncle Richard Fobes (Cynthia); Uncle William Turner (Jill); many cherished cousins, extended family, and treasured friends. Erica also leaves behind her sweet Corgi, Lottie, who was always by her side.

In recognition of Erica’s love of nature, history and her community, charitable donations may be made to: Friends of the National Wildlife Refuges of Rhode Island, 50 Bend Road, Charlestown, RI 02813; The Charlestown RI Historical Society via their web site: charlestownhistorical.org, under the heading Membership and to the Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome Foundation (SADS) (sads.org) in her memory.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
