Roberta J. Venner, 68, of Raymond Road, Chester, NH died Thursday August 29, 2002 at the Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, NH following a lengthy illness. She was born on September 16, 1933 in Biddeford, ME, a daughter of the late Gordon and Ruth (Sullivan) Harvey. She was a resident of Chester for 46 years, formerly living in Presque Isle, ME. She sang in the Chester Congregational Church choir when she was younger. She enjoyed sewing dolls, which she sold at consignment and enjoyed primitive antiques. She was predeceased by her husband Harold Venner Jr. in February 2002.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Cheryl V.) Silva, Kingston, Mrs. Wayne (Debra V.) Potter, Londonderry, Mrs. Glenn (Janice E.) Bethune, Islesboro, ME, two sons, Jeffrey A. Venner, David P. Venner, both of Chester, 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her twin brother, Robert J. Harvey, Dover, DE, four sisters, Geraldine Dugre, Orlando, FL, Evelyn Wilson, Laura Hancock, both of Exeter, Laverne Zirk, Myakka City, FL, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 3rd at 10:30am at the Chester Congregational Church, Chester Street, Chester. Burial will follow at the Great Hill Cemetery, Chester. Friends may call at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry on Monday September 2nd from 6 – 8 pm.
