Hannelore (Brand) Molloy passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025. She was 84 years old. Hannelore, known as Honey, was born in Bensen, Germany. She was the daughter of Hildegard Arabian and August Brand.
After emigrating to the US as a teenager, she lived a full life which included preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. She worked as a talented seamstress, making clothes, costumes and alterations for many people. She also enjoyed a long career in retail management, working at 16+ and Lane Bryant.
Honey is survived by her daughter Lori Raymond, her son Dennis Molloy and his wife Janine Passaretti-Molloy. She is also survived by her siblings Helga Flesch, Rosa Nalbandian and her partner Dorothy, Ralph Nalbandian and his wife Cynthia. Honey shared a particularly close relationship with her grandson Jake Raymond, who truly was the sunshine of her life. Honey also leaves behind loving nieces Kristina and Kati Nalbandian, Doris Flesch and Heike Myer. She was pre-deceased by her son, Michael Molloy.
Honey was a member of the German-American Cultural Society of RI and sang with the women’s Lorelei choir. She loved music, dancing and being in or near the ocean. She had been a member of the congregation of Our Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church in Smithfield, RI.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held in late June.
