Cheryl Ann Douglas, age 66, of Brockton passed away on Friday, March 28th, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Boston. Raised and educated in Medford, she was the daughter of the late Vincent J. and Shirley (Atkinson) Ciano. Cheryl lived in Brockton for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her son Alan Vincent Douglas, her daughter Christy Ann Douglas, and her brother David Ciano.
Cheryl was a woman of great strength and perseverance. She loved the outdoors, including gardening, camping, fishing and going to the beach. Cheryl enjoyed watching movies and crafting with her grandchildren, and was happy anytime she was with her friends and family.
Cheryl was the loving partner of Raymond Collins and his children, Dennis Collins and his wife Ginger, and Tonya Cassidy and her husband James. She was the loving grandmother of Emma, Abigail, Hannah, Madeline and Mylah, and dear sister of Vincent J. Ciano, Jr. and his late wife Janice, Donna Ellard and her late husband Charles, and Denise Ciano and her loving partner Jack Fernandes. She is also survived by her cousin and dear friend Beverly Fornaro, and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Cheryl’s family at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, April 4th from 11am through 1 pm, followed by a memorial service in the funeral home at 1pm. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
