Obituary

NORTHFIELD — Edward ‘Eddy’ Arthur Rayno, 60, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 7, 2025.

Eddy was born in Franklin, on June 17, 1964.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Erica L. Rayno of Manchester, and his father, Charles Rayno of Franklin.

Eddy spent his life in the Franklin-Northfield-Tilton area. He started working after school at 15. He helped a local man cut firewood. That was when he learned all the different trees of New Hampshire. He continued to work in the timber/logging industry for much of his life. Later, he took up the pastime of scrapping. Eddy was hardworking from a young age and helped in taking care of a large garden and feeding the cows, pigs and chickens. He enjoyed it.

He loved the outdoors. He hiked the woods, went snowshoeing, snowmobiling, loved to camp and was happiest sitting around a fire with music.

Eddy is survived by his mother, Lorraine Rayno of Franklin; his brother, David of Franklin; his sisters, Cyndy and her husband Brian Campbell of Franklin, and Jo-Ann and her husband Edward Sharp of Alexandria; as well as a handful of nieces and nephews.

Eddy was a pleasure to be around and had a huge sense of humor. He had a heart of gold and a huge love for life. He touched so many lives in so many ways. He will be immensely missed by all that knew and loved him. Eddy will live in all our memories forever.

There will be no calling hours or funeral at this time. The family is hosting a small family gathering to celebrate his life.
