Jerry Michel was born on August 17, 1967, in Gonaives, Haiti. He was the youngest child of eleven children born to the late Etienne and Simone Michel. Jerry was an Elder at the House of Prayer #5 Apostolic Church of God Inc. in Brockton, Massachusetts. His dedication to serving others and spreading the word of God touched countless lives. Through his uplifting and encouraging words, he inspired faith, love, and compassion in all who knew him. Jerry was universally loved.
Jerry had a gift for making people laugh and could connect with anyone he met. A simple encounter with him would always leave you feeling better. He deeply valued his relationships with family, friends, and fellow church members. As a devoted student of the Bible, he always shared insights that deepened your understanding of God. He was a powerful speaker and his faith in God was absolute. When he spoke about God, it was always with profound confidence and conviction.
He is now at peace in eternity with his parents, Etienne and Simone Michel, and his sisters, Caridad Michel and Jocelyn (Michel) Dubuisson.
Jerry is survived by six brothers: Theodore ‘Ted’ Michel, Reynald Michel, Joseph Michel, Jacques Michel, Jude Michel, and James Michel, and two sisters: Viviane (Michel) Lazard and Marie Tilouse Michel. Also leaving behind to cherish his memories are 25+ nieces and nephews, 38+ great-nieces and nephews, his beloved church family at House of Prayer #5 Apostolic Church of God Inc., several godchildren (with special mention of Trejahn and Zakari), a small tight-knit group of childhood friends, as well as a host of dearly beloved friends he’s made throughout his life.
