Obituary

Elaine Claire (Daigle) Desilets, born October 6, 1938, passed away on March 24, 2025. Elaine was predeceased by her loving parents, Dominic and Lillian (Jalbert) Daigle; her brother Donald Daigle; her sister Janet (Daigle) Gagne; her brother Robert Daigle; and her beloved husband, Joseph Desilets Elaine is survived by her sister, Nancy (Daigle) Melvin, and several cherished nieces and nephews who brought joy to her life. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Elaine attended Sacred Heart Elementary School and Lawrence High School. She held a few small jobs before discovering her true calling as a home health aide with Merrimack Valley Hospice. Elaine took great pride in caring for her patients and their families, offering kindness and compassion throughout her career. Following her retirement, Elaine dedicated much of her time to volunteering at Holy Family Hospital in the Cancer Management department. There, she provided comfort and support to patients. Elaine was known for her love of knitting and spent countless hours creating slippers, which she lovingly gifted to patients undergoing treatment. Elaine also found joy in spending time with her family, gardening, ceramics, caring for her cats, and spending quiet moments solving word puzzle books. Her warmth, generosity, and dedication to others will be remembered fondly by all who knew her.
Elaine's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who shared in her life and brought her comfort throughout her journey. May she rest in peace, knowing her kindness touched so many hearts.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 9:00 am to 10:15 am at the Edgar J. Racicot Inc. Funeral Home, 1400 Broadway Rd., Dracut.
