Richard W. “Dick” Quinzani of Needham and Center Sandwich, NH, formerly of Framingham, died suddenly on August 13, 2006 at his Needham home. He was 78. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Augustine and Margaret (Burns) Quinzani. Mr. Quinzani was a graduate of UMass Amherst, class of 1956. He was a professional Electrical Engineer for the Boston Edison Company for 35 years and was a member of the Professional Engineer Association. He was a retired Lieutenant, U.S. Navy, for 35 years at the South Weymouth Airbase. He was an avid and active sportsman throughout his entire life and was a member of the Wild Turkey Federation and the Trout and Ducks Unlimited.
He is survived by his former wife Ann W. (Farrell) Quinzani of Wellesley. He was the devoted father of Mark F. Quinzani and his wife Kristin of Millis and Richard J. Quinzani and his wife Carol of Framingham. Grandfather of Adam, Kyle, Rob, Nicholas and Mia Quinzani. Husband of the late Ruth Telford of Needham. Brother of Virginia North of Sandwich, NH, Eleanor Sullivan of Nevada, Phyllis Marsden of Cape Cod and the late Catherine Quinzani and Claire Kerrins. Dear friend of Kathleen Skelly of Needham.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave., Needham, on Thursday at 10:30 AM. Funeral mass in St. Joseph’s Church, Needham, at 11:30 AM.
