Daisy Lucille Weldon Revels, 96, of Tifton passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at her daughter’s residence in Ocilla. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 29, 2025, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Randy Mathis officiating. A eulogy will be given by Dale Hayes. Mrs. Revels will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Revels’ grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Born November 6, 1928, in Tift County, Mrs. Revels was the daughter of the late Lois Weldon Gunter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Wallace Revels; two sons, Roy Revels and Edward Revels; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Joyce Bowen and Odis Bowen; and one brother, Horace Gunter. Before retiring, she was a private sitter in the nursing field; and she was a member of Greater Life of Tifton. She loved flowers and crocheting, and she enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.
Mrs. Revels is survived by four sons and two daughters-in-law, Henry Wallace and Sue Revels of Salt Springs, Florida, Jerry Milton Revels of Moultrie, Johnny Aaron Revels of Ocilla and Ricky Milton and Angie Revels of Ty Ty; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Violet and Tommy Dillard of Ocilla and Patricia Louise Jones of Tifton; 17 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great grandchildren.
