Mary Magdaline Jarowski of Salisbury MA passed away peacefully at Kaplan Hospice House in Danvers MA on February 28, 2025 surrounded by dear friends. Mary was born July 27, 1962 in Worcester, MA to Thaddeus and Ruth (Johnson) Jarowski. She graduated from Wachusett High School and Worcester State University with a B.S in Biology. She had additional studies in Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety. She was a Board Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse, a Holistic Stress Management Instructor, and a writer, researcher, human rights activist and a friend to the most vulnerable amongst us.
As a Registered Nurse and devoted nurse case manager, Mary cared deeply for her patients. She also volunteered for and helped the homeless and was very active in helping to rescue Pugs (she loved her Pug, Shayla, and all animals).
Friendship was something Mary did not take lightly. She was very accomplished at making her friends laugh. In addition to being with her friends Mary enjoyed gardening, camping and visiting Holy Shrines. Mary was deeply committed to her Catholic faith.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved partner Maurice Varmette Jr., and her parents.
Visitation will be held Saturday April 12th from 10-11 am, at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St, Worcester, MA followed by funeral service with a Mass at 11 am. Burial will be private at a later date in Newburyport, MA at Oak Hill Cemetery.
