Obituary

LACONIA --- Donald Joseph Gelinas, 70, of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at a health care facility in Laconia, NH, after a brief illness.

Born in Manchester, NH, on July 31, 1954, to the late Omer and Eva (Paquette) Gelinas and was the husband of the late Debra (Corliss) Gelinas, who passed on October 29, 2024.

He served honorably in the US Marines during the Vietnam War, from May 19, 1972 to May 10, 1974.

Donald was known by many as a loving, kind hearted man with a helping hand to whomever needed it.
After retiring Donald became a long-time healthcare giver to his beloved wife Debra whom was battling cancer for many years.

He is survived by his brother David J. Gelinas, of Laconia, NH; sisters Carol and her husband Roy Chenier, of South Mills, NC, and Mack and her husband Ace Beaudet, of Manchester, NH; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he is predeceased by his brothers Edward, Andre and Richard, sister Irene Constant and sister-in-law Robin A. Gelinas.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at 1:00pm, at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.
