Raymond E. LeLacheur, 94 of Lowell, passed away peacefully on March 21, '2025 at Lowell General hospital after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Ray was the son of the late Frederick T. LeLacheur and Blanche A. (Dion) LeLacheur. He was the loving husband of the late Jeanne M. (Dupont) LeLacheur, with whom he celebrated 63 years of marriage.
Ray was born and raised in Lowell and attended St. Peter's School and Lowell High School, class of
1948. In his younger days, Ray worked at Cherry & Webb in downtown Lowell until taking a job for the Courier Citizen Corp, where he worked for over 25 years.

Ray was a devout Catholic and was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church and Holy Family Parish.
He served the parish as an usher, volunteered at weekly bingo, and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He spent many Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays alongside his brother Ed, delivering meals to those who would otherwise go without.
Ray was an avid New England sports fan, and especially loved the Boston Red Sox; he never missed watching a game and cheering for the team. He also enjoyed long walks, especially at Seabrook Beach, where he and Jeanne spent many summers with friends and hosted countless family cookouts at their trailer.

Leahy and her husband Daniel of Lowell, Ann Marie Rindo and her significant other, Anthony Forrester of Lowell, and Patricia J.
