Barbara (Desatnick) Gerson of Milford, MA formerly of Peabody, entered into rest on March 20, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Benjamin Gerson. Devoted mother of Michelle and Eric Yanofsky, Jayne Gerson and Elliott Haut, and Jonathan and Beth Gerson. Proud and cherished Bubba of Arenal, Andrew, Barri, Fletcher, Sam, and Lydia. Dear sister to Stephen and Linda Desatnick, Daniel and Vicki Desatnick and Ronda and Dale Miller. Adored aunt to nieces and nephews. Loved daughter of the late Albert and Betty Desatnick. Barbara grew up in Milton, and graduated with a bachelor's degree from Northeastern University. She spent many years in customer service in the footwear industry. While living in Peabody, she was an active member of Temple Ner Tamid. In retirement, she was an avid crafter, making scrapbooks, cards and knitting many projects for friends and family alike. Family gatherings weren't complete without her signature pastry trays. Her happiest moments were spent with her family, and she relished spending time with all of her grandchildren. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a funeral service Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at TORF with interment to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, 98 Canterbury Drive, Peabody, MA, 01960. Shiva will be held at Michelle Yanofsky’s residence on Monday following interment, and Wednesday from 1-4 and 6-8 pm; at Jonathan Gerson’s residence on Tuesday March 25th from 1-4 pm and 6-8 pm; and Wednesday March 26th at Jayne Gerson’s residence from 2 pm with service at 7 pm.
