Phyllis F. Carberry, a 9-year resident of Chelsea and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at her group home in Chelsea. She was 74 years of age.
Phyllis was born in Somerville on March 6, 1951, a daughter of the late Charles Carberry and Mary V. (Shaw) Carberry. She grew up in Charlestown where she attended the special education programs that the Boston Public School system offered the parents of Charlestown for their very special gifts from God. Phyllis worked with Project Triangle of Malden where she held several positions during her working career. She enjoyed crocheting, loved her cats and always had a great sense of humor while she loved mingling with people.
Phyllis is the beloved daughter of the late Charles Carberry and Mary V. (Shaw) Carberry. She is the devoted sister of Charles J. Carberry and James T. Carberry and his late wife Marjorie. She is the loving aunt to Alissa Carberry, Andrea Quinn and her husband Mark and her great-niece Zoe Quinn. She is also survived by her many loving cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Phyllis's visiting hours on Monday morning, March 24, 2025, from 10 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Francis De Sales Church, 313 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown at 12 Noon. Her burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
