Carol E. Bennett, 79

Dateline: Mansfield, MA

Carol E. (Carpenter) Bennett, age 79, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Frank J. Bennett, to whom she was wed for fifty-nine years.

Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on June 21, 1945, she was a loving daughter of the late Raymond H. and Yvonne M. (Cournoyer) Carpenter.

Carol grew up in North Attleboro and was a graduate of North Attleboro High School. She continues her studies, receiving a certificate in Dairy Products from UMass Amherst.

A resident of Mansfield for the past fifty years, Carol had worked as a former school bus driver. She loved spending time with her family and had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats. Carol will always be remembered for her exceptional cooking skills and the way she tended to the beautiful flowers that adorned her yard.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Susan D’Amore and her husband Charlie of South Carolina, Michael Bennett and his wife Jennifer of North Attleboro and Thomas Bennett and his longtime companion Cindy Chancey of Mansfield. She was the proud and cherished grandmother of Nicolas Bennett of Connecticut, Nathan Bennett of North Attleboro, Kaitlyn D’Amore of South Carolina, William Chancey of Mansfield and Nikki Chancey of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Howard Carpenter and his wife Diane of North Attleboro, Janice Solomon of Providence, Rhode Island, Eleanor Carpenter of North Attleboro and is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Carol’s funeral service followed by burial at Saint Mary’s Cemetery will be held privately.

Visiting hours are omitted and those wishing may remember Carol with a donation in her memory made to the Winslow Farm Animal Sanctuary, 37 Eddy Street, Norton, MA 02766.
