LACONIA ---- Matilda Ann “Annie” Guinard, 63, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
Annie was born in Laconia to Charles and Linnie (Jones) Douillette, Sr. She was raised in the greater Concord area and graduated from Merrimack Valley High School. She earned an Associate Degree from Franklin Pierce College and went on to serve as an Executive Secretary to the Public Utilities Commission for nearly 30 years.
Annie had loved being at the ocean; walking the beaches along the coast of Maine and looking for dolphins. Family recalls her culinary talents, not only was she a great baker, but she was also well versed in French cuisine and cooking techniques. She also had a green thumb and loved to care for plants and gardens. Annie was always dependable and had a big heart.
Family was most important to her. When friends would visit, she was quick to share photos and stories of her children and grandchildren.
She leaves behind her husband, Arthur Guinard, Jr., two sons Jake Guinard and Francis “Frank” (Gayle Carroll) Guinard; grandchildren Kasen Hardy and Adaline Guinard, brothers Charles (Donna) Douillette and Brian (Barbara Myers) Douillette; step-brother Albert (Sally) Howe, Jr. and nieces Mandi Howe, Sharon Howe and Tuesday Perkins and nephew Scott (Christine) Hurd. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her stepfather Albert Howe, Sr. and brother Bruce Douillette.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 6:00-8:00pm in the Carriage House at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH 03246.
