Jason M. Stanichuk, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at the age of 49, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a hardworking and skilled plumber, known for his strength, resilience, and unwavering love for his family. His infectious sense of humor, adventurous spirit, and deep devotion to those he cared about made him a force to be reckoned with and a joy to be around.
He was the beloved husband of Omilyn (Quitongan) Stanichuk with whom he celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary on July 21, 2024.
Born in Lowell on July 23, 1975, he was the son of Rick C. Stanichuk, of Tewksbury and Stacey (Ward) (Stanichuk) Baudanza, of Tewksbury.
Jason attended Tewksbury schools and graduated from Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in 1993.
During his high school years, Jason was a standout member and captain of the wrestling team earning legendary status with numerous titles to his name under famed coach Mark Donovan.
Prior to his illness, he operated Always Plumbing and Heating with his buddy Mike Frisch by his side. He cherished his time fishing with his nephews, Jake and Will, riding dirt bikes, and embracing life with a wild, fun-loving energy. His dogs—Root (who has passed), Roscoe, and Spencer—were his constant companions, and he loved them deeply. Above all, he adored his wife, Omilyn, and was fiercely devoted to his family.
Besides his wife and parents, Jason's family members include, his loving sister April L. Westhaver and Joey Bertin of Tewksbury, his younger brother Ricky Stanichuk Jr. of Tewksbury, and his cherished nephews Jake and Will Westhaver and Phineas Stanichuk: Cousin Haleigh Kelly, Aunt Brenda, Uncle Fred Ward, Uncle Mike Ward, Nana June, Robert Baudanza, Carol Hanley, the late Nana Betty, and a large circle of family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
His presence lit up every room, and his absence leaves an unfillable void. A true force of nature, a legend in his own right, he will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Calling hours are Thursday, March 20th, from 4-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. His funeral procession will begin on Friday, March 21st at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Services will conclude with interment at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury.
