Willard O. Swinimer, age 88, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Stratham, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Regal Care at Taunton. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine B. (Heath) Swinimer.
Born in Buffalo, New York on November 22, 1936, he was a loving son of the late Willard, O. Sr. and Helen J. (Burgess) Swinimer.
Bill grew up in Lexington, Massachusetts and was educated in Lexington Schools. Prior to retiring, he had worked as a machinist at the Quincy Shipyard, as well as at other various companies.
Bill was always happiest when surrounded by his adoring family. His hobbies included being a gifted woodworker and he will always be fondly remembered for the love in his heart for animals, especially dogs.
He is survived by his devoted children, David Swinimer of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Cheryl Smith and her fiancé Jay Creeden of Norton, Willard Swinimer and his wife Renee of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Lynne Ouellette and her husband Scott of Meredith, New Hampshire. He was the cherished grandfather of Michelle, Cherie, Nichole, David and Casey and the great grandfather of Bradley, Joshua, Jack, Kyle and Noah. He was pre-deceased by 1 sister and 2 brothers. He is also survived by his former wife Grace (Garrabrant) Swinimer of East Charleston, Vermont, as well as his loving nieces and nephews.
There are no services planned at this time and visiting hours are omitted.
