BELMONT ---- Lewis E. Huckins, Sr., 91, died Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, following a brief illness.
Lewis was born on May 4, 1933, in Belmont, the son of Arthur and Sylvia (Kimball) Huckins.
After serving in the US Army, Lewis owned and operated his own tree service for many years, and currently owned and operated Huck’s Yard Work, “I Haul Any’ting” services right up until his passing.
You could always find him at Laconia Bike Week on his trike with his wife Gerry. He also loved making his annual trip to his sister Shirley’s in Pittsburgh, NH for the Labor Day party where he enjoyed riding his ATV with his nieces and nephews.
Lewis is survived by two sisters Shirley Clifford of Moultonborough and Janet Jolin of Meredith, and his dear friend Mike Marchand. He was also a very special uncle to many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Lewis was predeceased by his beloved wife Geraldine Huckins, five brothers, Raymond Kimball, Richard Huckins, Percy Huckins, Allen Huckins and George Huckins and two sisters Marjorie Lawrence and Madeline Ward.
Lewis will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025 at noon at Shirley’s barn in Moultonborough, NH.
