Obituary

George Abelli, 65 years of age, passed away on Monday, March 10 at home.

George was born on December 27, 1959, in Waltham, Massachusetts to the late Francis C. Abelli and Marilyn F. (Hersey) Abelli. He was the oldest of two children. George was educated in the Tewksbury School System in Massachusetts.

George was a very creative and imaginative person. Someone who had a lot of ideas and different approaches in dealing with various situations. A true Renaissance Man.

George had a passion for trains, airplanes, classic movies and jazz music. At one time or another, George transformed his space at home into his interests including but not limited to a cinema, live music venue and created a perfect world built around his love for trains.

George valued his profession and took great pride in his technical support role in the metal plating business. George liked Mondays because he enjoyed his work.

George was generous, patriotic, humble and big-hearted. Kind and always willing to lend a helping hand; that was George! He will be missed dearly by all of his family and dear friends.

George is survived by his brother, Frank Abelli, his aunt Marsha (Hersey) Rand, many cousins, and close friends.

Calling hours will be on Saturday, April 5, between 4PM and 6PM at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home in Tewksbury, MA. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 7, at 10:30AM also at Farmer & Dee Funeral Home. Services will conclude with interment of his ashes at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury.
