Mildred “Pat” (O’Toole) Munroe, May 30th, 1940 - March 12, 2025 Mildred “Pat” (O’Toole) Munroe, 84 a long time resident of Hanson, MA passed away after a lengthy illness.
Pat was born in Boston, MA to the late Charles and Vera (Dickinson) O’Toole. She grew up with her two sisters Eileen Hine and Roseanne Zukowki in Dorchester, MA where she ended up meeting her husband, a career Navy sailor, the late David Munroe. Pat and David eventually settled down in Hanson, MA where they raised their three children Cindy, Alison, and John.
Pat lived in the same house for 54 years. She enjoyed hosting family and friends, and was especially known for her homemade spaghetti and meatballs as well as her famous French toast. Pat was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Hanson and enjoyed volunteering her Saturday mornings at the church’s thrift store.
Pat is survived by her children: Cindy McLay (Tom) of CT, Alison Roman (Peter) of Andover, and John Munroe (Valerie) of MD. Pat was Nana to most but especially to her seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous grand-puppies.
Services to be Friday, April 25th at First Baptist Church of Hanson and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the First Baptist Church of Hanson are appreciated.
