LACONIA ---- Edward Joseph Sciglimpaglia, Jr., 60, of Beaman Street, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at home after a brief illness.
Edward was born on October 15, 1964, in Stamford, CT, the son of Edward Joseph Sciglimpaglia, Sr., and Karen (Curnyn) Sciglimpaglia.
He attended J.M Wright Tech in Stamford, class of 1985, then moved to New Hampshire. He was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran. He worked for 34 years at NH Ball Bearing.
Edward enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering with mechanics, and being outdoors. Edward loved to be outside and feeling free. He was very good with his hands; always tinkering with things. He also enjoyed collecting knives and arts. Edward played darts with his wife and was on a dart league. He was also an avid planter, his favorite flower being the rose.
He loved to play baseball and hockey most of his life; he was known to be a ‘sports buff’. He also raced Dirt Track, #84 and loved NASCAR.
Edward, our ‘stubborn mule’ will truly be missed.
Edward is survived by his wife of 36 years, Pamela F. Sciglimpaglia; son Jeremiah J. Sciglimpaglia and his wife Azalea Reed; mother Karen Sciglimpaglia; sister Beth Ann Dapolito and husband Ralph, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Edward Joseph Sciglimpaglia, Sr.
There will be no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations in Edward’s name be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Boston, MA 02451, American Lung Association in NH, 1800 Elm Street, Manchester, NH 03104, National Alliance on Mental Illness NH (NAMI NH) 85 North State Street, Concord, NH 03301, or to any animal rescue of your choice.
