LACONIA ---- The family of Pauline Dora Gallant, 93, of Laconia, is saddened by her passing on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
Pauline was born on December 5, 1931, in Belmont, NH, the daughter of the late Adelard Morin and Lillian (Patten) Morin.
Pauline was a graduate of Laconia High School. She worked as an usherette at the Colonial Theater and Garden Theater in Laconia, NH. She met her husband, Ernest F. Gallant, Jr., who was the projectionist at the theater. Pauline loved her family and loved providing for them. Her whole world revolved around them. She was a stay-at-home mom until her children were all in elementary school. Then she began to work for the school lunch program at Laconia Middle School. She also worked for the Coca-Cola Vending Company in Belmont. She enjoyed baking cookies for her family, even shipping them off to her granddaughters who lived out of state. Pauline was a member of the Friendship Club at the Leavitt Park Clubhouse in Lakeport. She was a very caring person, always wanting to bring out the best in everyone.
Pauline is survived by her son Michael L. Gallant and his wife Jane of Gilford; daughters Gloria E. Gallant and her husband Wilbur Bickford of Belmont, and Gayle H. Gallant of Laconia; brother Raymond Morin of San Diego, CA; grandchildren Dawn Eastman, Leslie Gaillard Lovely, Deborah Gallant, Scott Fazzina, Samantha Gallant Nock; 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her husband Ernest F. Gallant, Jr.; brothers Roger Morin, Albert Morin, Arman Morin, Alfred Morin, and Robert Morin; sisters Sally Kuchinsky and Irene McAvley; and grandchild Julie Gaillard.
A private burial will be held later in the spring/summer at McCoy Cemetery, Gilford, NH.
