Tommy Laudenslager, a 38-year resident of Everett and formerly of Charlestown, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. He was 71 years of age.
Tommy was born in Norfolk County, Virginia on July 14, 1953, a son of the late Russell K. Laudenslager and Dora (Pappas) Atkinson and her husband Francis "Pa" Atkinson. He grew up in Charlestown where he was educated in the Boston Public School system and graduated from Charlestown High School in 1971. Tommy worked at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston as a Security Police Officer for several years before he began working as a Currier for Airborne/DHL Company where he worked for many years and was a proud retired member of Teamsters Union Local # 25.
Tommy's life was always filled with love and laughter. He was so in love with his Debbie and the proudest Dad to his 3 girls whom he adored immensely. His greatest joy were his 3 boys, his grandsons who he loved spending many moments with especially coaching each of them in their particular sporting events. He was always looking out for the other person and neighbor, putting the other person first and himself second to lend a helping hand. He was known in the neighborhood as "The Mayor of Adams Ave" where he was always seen going up and down the street trying to help in anyway. In his spare time, Tommy enjoyed playing softball, bowling and playing cards.
Tommy is the beloved husband of 50 years to Debra A. "Debbie" (Drago) Laudenslager. He is the devoted father to Lisa Laudenslager, Tiffany Laudenslager and Stefani Ferullo and her husband Anthony who was Tommy's "favorite and only son-in-law". He is the loving Papa to Evan, Cameron, Jackson and his grand dog Luna. He is the brother of Linda Ricciardi, Pam Cameron, Michael Loudenslager, Laura Loudenslager, Denise Atkinson, and the late Kenny Laudenslager. He is the dear nephew of Eleanor Kostinden. He is also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Tommy's visiting hours on SATURDAY, MARCH 22, 2025, from 9 A.M. to 1 P.M. in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. CHARLESTOWN followed by his procession for burial to Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
