Anthony “Fred” Mancini of Natick passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025, at the
age of 84.
Predeceased by his parents Rose and Galliano Mancini, his loving sisters Joanne Barisano
(Mancini) and Mary Elizabeth (Mancini) Tracy. Devoted husband to his wife, Sheila Mancini, of
42 years. Loving father to his daughters, Kerrie (Mancini) Hoffman, Amy Mancini, Andrea
Mancini, and Rebecca (Mancini) Walker and her husband Mark. Proud grandfather to his three
grandsons Alex, Benjamin, and Matthew. A cherished “Uncle Freddy (UF)” to all of his nieces
and nephews.
Fred was born in Needham on January 14, 1941 where he lived until he enlisted in the United
States Air Force in 1958. After being honorably discharged in 1962, he began a lifetime love of
cars. He attended Wentworth Institute of Technology’s automotive program, leading to his
career as an automotive mechanic, and spending his free time racing at Norwood Arena
Speedway in the late 1960s.
Fred had a gift for fixing nearly anything—a true “jack of all trades.” All who knew and loved him
will deeply miss his presence, wisdom, and unwavering support.
