Raymond Charles Fontaine

Raymond Charles Fontaine, a devoted husband, loving father, and dedicated veteran, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025 at the age of 92. His remarkable life was marked by unwavering commitment to family and country. Born in Providence Rhode Island, Raymond Charles Fontaine served in the Korean War and returned to build a life filled with love and support centered on his family. Raymond Charles Fontaine married the love of his life, Antonette Carlevale, and they shared an extraordinary 70 years together. Their union was blessed with four sons and six grandchildren who brought immense joy and fulfillment to their lives.
Raymond Charles Fontaine is survived by his loving wife, Antonette Fontaine; his children, Raymond G. Fontaine and wife Kathy; John G. Fontaine and wife Jill; David G. Fontaine and wife Traci, and Paul L. Fontaine and fiance Eric; and his grandchildren, Raymond T. Fontaine, Elizabeth G. Fontaine, John G.Fontaine Jr, Nicole M. Fontaine, David J. Fontaine, and Adam T. Fontaine. He was predeceased by his siblings George Fontaine, Claire Morry, and Rita Hanrahan while being remembered fondly by his brother Gerald Fontaine and sister Doris Rooney as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished his presence.
His funeral will be held Monday, March 17th at 9am from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville, RI. Visitation is respectfully omitted. His burial will be private.
